Diabetes Screening Camp at Sufaid Dehri-31 March, 2017

Date Event Description
31 March, 2017 Diabetes Screening Camp AIMS-Diabetes Hospital & Research Center (DHRC) organized a diabetes screening camp in collaboration with district government on Sunday 19 March, 2017. In this camp, about 152 participants were screened out. Out of 131, 81 female and 50 male participants were screened out.

Diabetes Support Conference-23rd March, 2017

Date Event Description
23 March, 2017 Diabetes Support Conference AIMS-Diabetes Hospital & Research Center (DHRC) organized a diabetes support conference on Thursday. The event, brought together patients with diabetes, healthcare professionals, researchers, students, pharmaceutical companies and people with an interest in diabetes.
The conference was aimed at raising awareness about the organization and creating a poll of volunteers for support and optimal utilization of the available resources by the community.

MoU signing ceremony between AIMS and District Govt-[17 Feb, 2017]

17 Feb, 2017 MoU Signing Ceremony

In order to create awareness and identify those with diabetes, district government of Peshawar and AIMS Diabetes Hospital & Research Center (DHRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The ceremony was held at District Nazim Peshawar Office.

Under this MoU AIMS Diabetes hospital in collaboration with district government, will conduct diabetes awareness and screening camps in 92 UCs of district Peshawar.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Zia ul Hasan (Chief Executive, Diabetes Hospital) and District Namiz Peshawar Mr. Asim Khan. Officials from diabetes hospital & district government office also attended the ceremony.

On this occasion Mr. Asim Khan said “A detailed work plan has already been discussed. Members from both parties should form a joint working committee and decide which UCs to screen first.”

Dr. Zia ul Hasan said “Follow up is key to the success of this project. Continuous follow up is necessary in order to deliver maximum benefit to the community”

Both parties also agreed on developing proposals for a mobile medical service as well as an insulin bank. The mobile medical service will deliver diabetes care as well as other basic medical checkups, while the insulin bank will be established at a local government health facility where free insulin will be provided to type-1 diabetes patients.

Abaseen Institute of Medical Science and Pakistan Islamic Medical Association has signed MoU for free screening camps, according to which free screening camps will be done in earthquake affected area i.e. Peshawar, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Swat, Shangla and Bajaur Agency. PIMA provincial Relief Secretary Mr. Muhammad Sharif and Senior Medical Officer AIMS Pakistan Dr. Muhammad Ayaz signed the MoU.

World Diabetes Day Camp-[15 Nov, 2015]

Date Event Description
15 Nov, 2015 WDD Camp Diabetes Hospital celebrated World Diabetes Day on 15th Novemeber with a Free Health Camp as well as a seminar on Diabetes. Approx 3000 people attended and nearly 250 volunteers helped us make the day a great success.
